This Privacy Policy explains how Phanero OÜ ("we", "us", "EatSavvy") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the EatSavvy mobile application (the "App").
Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the App:
- Dietary preferences you provide. Diet type, strictness level, favorite and disliked cuisines, and ingredients you wish to avoid. This information is stored locally on your device and used only to score and filter dish results.
- Location data. With your permission, we use your approximate location to find nearby restaurants and dishes. Location data is not stored on our servers after your search completes.
- Saved dishes. Dishes you mark as favorites are stored locally on your device.
- Usage and diagnostic data. We collect anonymized usage data (such as crashes and performance metrics) to improve the App. This data is not linked to your identity.
- Subscription information. If you subscribe, billing is processed by Google Play or Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not receive your payment details.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the core dish discovery and scoring features.
- To process and manage subscriptions.
- To maintain App performance and diagnose technical issues.
- To communicate with you about the App, if you contact us directly.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only with the following service providers, strictly to operate the App:
- Supabase — hosts our restaurant and dish database.
- Google Maps Platform — provides maps and place data.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription entitlements.
- Google Play / Apple — processes subscription payments.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Phanero OÜ, our users, or others.
Data Retention
Dietary preferences and saved dishes are stored locally on your device and are removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data. We do not retain personal dietary profiles on our servers.
Your Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at team@eatsavvy.app.
Children's Privacy
EatSavvy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect information transmitted and stored through our services. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the App where appropriate.
